Sunday School

Sunday School

The Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, believed very strongly in the importance of Sunday School. Christian Science Sunday Schools are a place where children and young adults are able to grow in their understanding of God, the Bible, and Christ Jesus’ life, and to learn how to put Christian Science into practice in their daily lives, including how to address any specific problems they may be facing.

Our Sunday School takes place at the same time as our Sunday church services, from 10:30am – 11:30am, and welcomes students up to the age of 20. Our teachers, who are members of our church, provide lessons based on the truths of the Bible. Pupils are first taught the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount (including the Beatitudes and the Lord’s Prayer). Bible stories are adapted for each age and are often taken from the weekly Bible Lesson. All children and teens are loved and respected as deep thinkers and children of God.

We are also happy to provide childcare for infants and toddlers too young to attend Sunday School.
