Every Christian Science church in the world provides a Reading Room as a spiritual resource and “open door” for its entire neighborhood and community. Our storefront Reading Room in Needham is a quiet place where anyone can pray, read, listen to hymns and inspirational CDs, study and explore the Bible or the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, or read or purchase other literature about God and Christian Science published by the Christian Science Publishing Society. You can also read or buy The Christian Science Monitor, our well-known international newspaper, or use the internet to access over 100 years of articles and verified testimonies of healing that have been published in the church religious periodicals.
We welcome you to the Reading Room at any time and hope you will take advantage of all it has to offer you in your own unique spiritual journey. Use of the resources in the Reading Room is always free.

Book Club
On the third Thursday of each month we will meet briefly to discuss the book Christian Science: Continuing Evidence of Christ-Healing. Here’s the schedule of meetings for the next few months, all at 12:30 pm:

Christian Science Monitor article conversations
We will also meet September 10, 2026 at noon to discuss an article from the Christian Science Monitor and consider how to approach the subject from a spiritual perspective. More info to come on which article.
